Thomas Panagiotopoulos

We all know Thomas Panagiotopoulos, at least those who are related to the ribs, mainly for his travels that were published in the pages of magazines «Inflatable Boat», «Thalassa» and «RIB». Thomas has written numerous useful and technical articles about ribs and outboard engines.
His great passion is traveling with his Rib, a passion which afterwards transmits to the readers. Indeed, Thomas has a great capability of travelling us through his writings, because he "lives for the journey", regardless of what his destination is.He has traveled throughout Greece, in every corner of the Aegean and Ionian sea as well as in the Mediterranean sea, choosing destinations of hundreds of miles. In 1999 he traveled with a 6 meters Rib to Malta, Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. In 2004, the year of the Olympic Games in Athens, as a representative of all Nautical Clubs of Greece and the Ministry of Sport, carried with his Rib the Olympic Flag from Thessalonica to the Pillars of Hercules in Gibraltar. In 2006 he navigated throughout the Adriatic sea, and in 2010 traveled from Thessalonica to Corsica. In August 2014 he is scheduled and organised the journey ''HELLAS - AZORES 3.500nm'', during which the Ribadventure team crossed the Mediterranean sea and Atlantic ocean up to Azores. All these travels, accompanied by rich photographic material, published on the pages of nautical magazines, making readers to feel the unique experiences as members of the same crew...
In 2009, Thomas wrote the book "In the neighbourhoods of the Aegean", which was highly acclaimed by nautical world. In this book Thomas gathered all the experiences and emotions that was collecting all these years traveling with his Rib in the Aegean, highlighting both small and unknown corners.

Cristiano Segnini

Cristiano Segnini, born on the 13th of March 1980, is the youngest member of the crew. Son of a sailor, he had a passion for the sea and long trips as a child. Particularly fond of inflatable boats, he has taken part in a project for developing a high-performance pleasure boat by using advanced materials and construction techniques of excellence. The boat called Soffio Fast Rib is powered by the same engines as the ribadventure’s raid, that is double Suzuki 300AP. Segnini is a powerboat pilot registered in one of the most renowned Italian yacht clubs, the CCN (Circolo Canottieri Napoli) and rides for a sports association called HPR. Having achieved several successes in powerboating races, he hopes to make his contribution to the knowledge of boats and the sea.

He is the World Champion 2014 of Endurance in offshore category He is a specialist Engineer of outboard engines and takes care of all the technical matters about Suzuki engines. Carlos is also an expert driver of fast boats and works on the development of their performance. He is a great navigator and his passion is to navigate over the seas.

Norberto Pereira, born in Lisbon at 02/10/1973, always assumed his passion for activities that explore his adventurous spirit, like the scuba diving and nautical world.

Being an enthusiast for Rib's, he is the founder of RIB Clube Semi-Rigidos Portugal, where his work has a very important paper on the organization and sponsor of many nautical events. The most recent was the Ribadventure Hellas-Azores 2014, where he had an active participation, join to the crew ribing by the sea, from Cascais to Azores without refueling. His own objective and determined posture was one of the keys for the total success of this challenge - join Greece to Azores, a big adventure land prepared, but where only a good lead and resistance capacity on the sea could take it to a great finish.

One of the biggest dreams of Norberto is crossing the Atlantic North Ocean. Next journey? Maybe we heard more about in the future...

Giovanni Di Meglio was born on the 23rd of June in 1969, inheriting the passion of the sea from his family. As a boy he practiced windsurfing for 15 years, touring all over Europe, thus water skiing and sailing attracting him.

Following his father’s steps on motorboat racing in the decade of ’80’s, he was keen on this sport managing a lot of success, such as one European Championship, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in Offshore World Championship. He joined the Team Soffio in 2013, managing two world speed records with Cristiano Segnini , and gaining two more silver medals at European and World Championship Endurance Category B. He is a member and pilot of Circolo Canottieri Napoli and embraced with enthusiasm the Rib Adventure Racing Team.

Toni Guinot was born on the 23rd of September in 1982 in Barcelona of Spain. He is working on marine service and is a specialist on the care of big boats with many years of experience. He is the World Champion 2014 of Endurance in offshore category.

He is a specialist ‘’Maker Solutions’’ on board. He takes care of all onboard parts, from Bow to Stern. He is always thinking of developing and giving smart solutions about electronic, hydraulic, navigation and security systems.

Toni is also an expert driver of fast boats and works on the development of their performance.

He is a great navigator and his passion is to navigate over the seas.

David Burgos Pulido

Born in Badalona (1988) and passionate about the motorsports from an early age, David Burgos has forged a name among the offshore pilots of the current scene, world champion in 2016 and gaining titles since 2013, including regional, state and a European championship (2014) in addition to running with single-seater T-850 formulas on the circuit.

Being a mechanic of motors and electronics as a professional for more than 15 years, sailor at soul or heart, boat show driver and race driver, still his passion is diving, PADI Divemaster with more than 500 dives and First AID qualification.

His personal motivations beyond triumphs are his desire to overcome, the search for new challenges, his wife, his family, team and friends, who are according to him who make all this possible.

Kalogeropoulos Konstantinos

Born on the 06/09/1985 in Athens, Greece. He has graduated from the Pharmacy school of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and also has a certificate of ‘’professional food production-chef’’ by Le Monde School of culinary arts. He has been a volleyball player for 25 years.

He is a pharmacist by profession.

His relationship with the sea started at Kamena Vourla, Phiotis , place of origin of his mother, where he spent most of his summers by the sea. Lover of speed he owns a jet-ski for sea excursions. He is a volunteer in the “Aegean Team” and with their inflatable boats has travelled the Aegean Sea from edge to edge providing help to the small and deserted islands. He also participates in RIB tests as a member of the e-ribbing team.
