57th Genova International Boat Show – A Great Fiesta of the Sea, made in Italy!
The Genova International Boat Show took place from 21 to 26 September 2017 and celebrated its 57th anniversary, staring with optimism at the future.
The 57th edition of the Genova Boat Show was dedicated to Carlo Riva, the internationally renowned Italian motorboat designer and builder who left his last breath at the age of 95 in April 2017. Carlo Riva wrote his own unique history creating the legendary wooden luxury yachts which only as works of art can be characterized and constitute for many people the object of desire even today!
The Genova Boat Show is a leading event worldwide since it has been one of the most important exhibitions of Europe and a reference point of the maritime industry for many decades.
In its renewed venues, the lovers of the sea had the opportunity to see and test at the sea all the latest innovations in yachts, boats, ribs, engines and electronics.
As far as the inflatable boats are concerned, several new models of all categories (small, medium and mega ones) were presented. It is quite clear that special emphasis is given on both the design of functional, luxurious and particularly comfortable decks for nautical tourism as well as the redesign of hulls with more off shore character.
Regarding the outboard engines, new models were presented by all the manufacturers; still most of the attraction was attracted to the first official European presentation of the new Suzuki DF 350A - dual prop.
