The Athens Boat Show, which took place from 23 till 27 November 2017, attracted thousands of visitors, leaving a little feeling of optimism for the future of maritime industry, one of the most important sectors of national economy.

In fact, even if there are no visible signs of the so much desired recovery of the nautical industry, according almost to the majority of the exhibitors, the interest of the visitors was clearly higher than last year.
It may be a purely psychological reaction of the market, since next year is predicted to maintain quite miserable for the sea friends.

However, let’s remain optimist, hoping that at some time, the responsible ones of this country will face with nautical culture and responsibility the entire nautical industry by protecting it and making the essential and effective bases that will allow the actual recovery of the dozens of yards that have been lately «dying» and trying by any means to survive.

In order to achieve that, we must all work so that next year more exhibitors and manufacturers of rigid inflatable boats will present at the Athens Nautical Boat Show which the last years is supported only by specific companies such as Shearwater, Olympic, Fost, Motocraft and of course by all the dealers of outboard motors and marine equipment.
