Suzuki’s Lean Burn Control System: Go further, faster, for less

By Norberto Pereira

Nowadays, as the increase of the cost of fuel has become one of the major factors for the choice about the proper outboard, Suzuki has developed a system called «Lean Burn» that enabled their outboards to get even more with less of fuel.

This technology was introduced on DF 70/80/90 in 2008, and added gradually to other models until today. Suzuki's Lean Burn Control System is available, and in use on the DF300AP/250AP/200A//140A/115A/90A/80A//70A/60A/50A/40A/30A/25A/20A/15A and the smallest 9.9B.
